I’ve found this album —this song in particular —to be incredibly influential to me as I was growing up after a CD repress in 2004. While still an import from Iceland at the time, the Borders in my neighborhood carried it at a price that reflected the cost of customs (one that was substantially higher than that of your average CD). I was intrigued to hear their back catalogue after being exposed to the break-through album that followed it and saved up my money from yard work to pay for it. I don’t revisit the album as often these days, and I can’t say I care for anything from them past the ( ) album, but this song still resonates with me.
